Mums to Be

The best time to treat stretch marks is before they happen - this is definitely a situation where prevention is better than cure. They are a form of scarring, due to the stretching of the skin during pregnancy. Once stretch marks have formed, they are very difficult to eradicate, though dedicated massage can reduce them.

As well as massage from a therapist or friend, the expectant mum should massage oil into her own tummy and hips each day from about the fifth month, to prevent stretch marks.

Shea butter is especially good for stretch mark prevention and minimisation. Also excellent for stretch marks and beautiful skin are our Relaxing Moisturing Massage Oil, Luxury She Nut and Coconut Body Butter and of course our 100% Natural Hand Whipped Shea Butter.
